A single, accountable team for building work in the South East
The Weald Group carries out building and construction, extensions, new builds, conversions, renovations and refurbishments, and plumbing and heating work for homeowners across Sussex, Surrey, Kent, South London and the surrounding areas.
Projects are managed under a single contract and a single point of contact, from the initial site visit through design, approvals and construction to final sign-off — rather than a client needing to coordinate separate designers and trades themselves.
The Weald Group is a newly established company — but it isn't a new team. It's built and run by tradespeople who between them have spent decades on site, in plumbing, heating, carpentry, brickwork and site management, before ever taking on a client of their own.

Karl
Founder & Managing Director
Karl Reardon didn't learn the construction and building services industry from a textbook—he built his expertise from the ground up, starting on the tools at 16. By age 20, he was a fully qualified, Gas Safe registered plumbing and heating engineer. Rather than specializing in a single lane, Karl spent the next seven years deliberately expanding his technical and structural mastery. He logged two years of intensive electrical experience (achieving Part P certification) before spending five years mastering carpentry, brickwork, structural engineering, and comprehensive site management. This end-to-end immersion across the entire building lifecycle gave Karl a rare, holistic understanding of how complex projects breathe, function, and succeed. As the Founder of Weald Group, Karl has transitioned from executing the physical work to driving the company’s strategic vision. While he no longer works on the tools daily, his deep-rooted, multidisciplinary trade expertise remains at the absolute core of the business. He directs day-to-day operations with the sharp, uncompromising eye of a veteran site manager and the forward-thinking vision of a modern entrepreneur—ensuring Weald Group delivers unparalleled technical precision and seamless project execution.
Dannielle
Operations Director
Dannielle oversees the day-to-day operations of The Weald Group, ensuring projects, customer communications, scheduling and administration are delivered efficiently. She is committed to providing an organised, professional experience from first enquiry through to project completion.
Barry
Construction Director
Barry is a City & Guilds qualified Plumbing and Heating Engineer, having trained through an apprenticeship with a local business based in Charlwood from the age of 21. Over more than 40 years in the trade, he progressed from hands-on plumbing and heating work into running his own plumbing company alongside a separate construction company, a dual role he held until 2025. As Construction Director at The Weald Group, Barry brings this full breadth of experience — from apprentice-trained tradesman to business owner — to the technical oversight of every project, ensuring the practical realities of the trade are reflected in how work is planned, priced and delivered on site.
How we work
Our approach
Clear scope, before work starts
Every project is set out in a written, itemised quotation, with provisional sums clearly flagged, before any work begins on site.
Regulated trades where required
Gas and heating work is carried out only by Gas Safe registered engineers, and structural work is supported by qualified engineering input where needed.
Documentation you keep
Building Control certification, warranties and other handover documentation are provided at completion, not left to chase up afterwards.
