Our process
What happens after you get in touch
- 01
Enquiry and initial conversation
You tell us about the project, the property and roughly what you have in mind, either through the quote form or by phone. We confirm whether it's a good fit and arrange a site visit.
- 02
Site visit and survey
We visit the property to understand the building, the site constraints and what you're trying to achieve, and talk through realistic options before anything is designed.
- 03
Design and approvals
Depending on the project, this covers layout drawings, structural input, and any planning or Building Regulations submissions needed before construction can start.
- 04
Written, itemised quotation
You receive a detailed quotation broken down by element, with any provisional sums clearly flagged, so you know what is fixed and what depends on conditions found once work starts.
- 05
Programme and contract
We agree a start date, programme and payment schedule in writing before any work begins on site.
- 06
Construction
Work proceeds to programme with regular updates. You have a single point of contact throughout, rather than needing to coordinate separate trades yourself.
- 07
Completion and handover
Snagging is agreed and resolved, Building Control and other certification is provided, and you receive documentation for warranties and future maintenance.
FAQs
Process questions
How long before I get a quotation?
This depends on project complexity — a straightforward like-for-like job can be quoted shortly after survey, while a project needing design and planning input takes longer, since it depends on drawings and specification being finalised first.
What is a provisional sum?
A provisional sum is an allowance included in your quotation for work that cannot be priced with certainty until it is opened up on site, such as unknown structural conditions. It is agreed and updated with you as soon as the actual scope is known.
